Best practice applications of the Alteryx business analytics platform are recognized at annual event

Orange, CA – March 10, 2011 – Alteryx, Inc., makers of the fastest and most flexible Geographic Business Intelligence® software platform in the world today, honored its enterprise users and best-practice partners during the annual Inspire 2011: Alteryx Community Conference, held March 7 – 9, 2011 at the Omni Interlocken Resort.

Alteryx CEO Dean Stoecker saluted Alteryx clients whose business intelligence applications have achieved faster, more efficient delivery of actionable information for industries ranging from retail to telecommunications to real estate. An expanded Alteryx deployment roadmap introduced in January of 2010, has been responsible for moving small to medium businesses, and on up to the Fortune 500, into fully-integrated desktop, server and cloud-based business analytic solutions.

“Inspire 2011 is focused on the Alteryx community, a broad range of companies who share their successes, achievements, and best practices in using a single, integrating technology that is the Alteryx platform,” said Stoecker. “We couldn’t be prouder of hosting a celebration to appreciate and acknowledge the vision and leadership of these Alteryx customers and partners. All of us at Alteryx feel privileged to be a part of a community that defines itself by pushing the envelope on innovation and ingenuity.”

Alteryx recognizes the world’s global retail leader, Walmart, with the Inspire 2011 Best Practices Award for Business Intelligence & Analytics, revolutionizing retail financial and marketing efficiencies through the effective combination of geographic, demographic, product category data to automate their reporting and trade area analysis processes by store.

Alteryx partner, CenturyLink, a leading provider of high-quality broadband, entertainment and voice services, is recognized with an Alteryx Spatial Best Practices Award for its groundbreaking work in bridging the information sharing needs between its business and engineering functions. Its customers define spatial processing requirements that are outside the box of conventional solutions; so, CenturyLink’s Alteryx expertise has set a new standard in telephony by meeting those needs.

“We preferred to use Alteryx as our tool for working with data files and spatial analysis-even when we had prepaid services from another provider we were never able to use!” said David Stirling, president and CEO of MarketVue Partners, winner of the Best Practice Innovation with Alteryx Award. “The indexing speed and the amazing flexibility and power, whenever we work with anything that involves spatial analysis or bringing different files together, that’s why we use Alteryx. Programming skills are a big plus, but are not required when working with the Alteryx visual workflow interface for building complex queries. Finally, the software’s power cuts back on the need for super powerful servers to process large files.”

Other honorees included Partner of the Year, Tango Management Consulting, Inc., for their comprehensive solutions for the retail, corporate and commercial real estate industry; Alteryx Wizards Best Practice Award winner Save-a-Lot, whose grocery store network serves more than 4 million shoppers each week from Maine to California, for deploying a web-based potential store evaluation report, with full analog model forecasting, to all of their field real estate managers during a period of aggressive expansion; Alteryx Enterprise Best Practices Honoree SymphonyIRI, the global leader in innovative solutions and services for its next-generation deployment of an advanced Alteryx enterprise web solution, ShopperSights, a consumer targeting and segmentation tool for the CPG industry; and Data Partner of the Year, STI PopStats, who provides market researchers access to a vast range of valuable demographic data-including households estimates, 10-year forecasts, seasonal population counts, transient counts, and econometric data.
