Alteryx Analytics 10.0 Enables Data Analysts To Easily Implement Data Blending In Cloudera Without Coding

Alteryx Now Certified on Cloudera Enterprise 5.4

Irvine, Calif. — Sept 24, 2015 — Alteryx, Inc., the leader in data blending and advanced analytics, today announced that its newly released platform, Alteryx Analytics 10.0, empowers line-of-business analysts to quickly perform data blending in Cloudera® without the need for SQL coding. Alteryx also announced that its Alteryx Analytics 10.0 platform is now certified on Cloudera Enterprise to provide a tested and certified Alteryx and Cloudera experience. These updates provide data analysts with the ability to achieve deeper business insights in hours, not weeks with expanded data blending and analytics capabilities for in-database data blending to support data blending at scale.

“Alteryx continues to invest heavily in the future of the data analyst to help them produce more business insight. This investment includes easily enabling the full compute power of the Hadoop platform to allow blending massive data sets,” said George Mathew, President and COO, Alteryx, Inc. “Alteryx also supports the growing number of analysts looking to adopt Spark within enterprise Hadoop deployments — including SparkR to enable predictive analytics — through key contributions for Spark and support of Cloudera’s One Platform initiative.”

To make self-service data preparation and advanced analytics even easier, with Alteryx Analytics 10.0, line-of-business analysts can now utilize additional in-database processing within Impala®. This is a simpler way to leverage their organizations’ investment in Hadoop, taking advantage of the structured and unstructured data stored in Impala. Then analysts are able to cleanse, join and shape data in Impala, include data from other sources and create the ideal dataset to provide a wider context for insights and answer the urgent business questions.

“We see great value in providing a business user with a single, easy-to-use interface that enables them to focus on the business logic while leveraging the flexibility of multiple, purpose-built engines within an enterprise data hub,” said Tim Stevens, vice president, Business and Corporate Development at Cloudera. “The latest integration from Alteryx is able to leverage both Impala and Spark for in-database blending and processing depending on the needs of the business user.”
