As described in our Privacy Policy, we collect certain personal information from you when you use our Sites This same information applies to candidates accessing and using our Sites, as well additional categories of data specific to an application for employment.
Categories of Personal Information | Description |
Personal identifiers | Personal and online identifiers such as a full name, alias, postal address, unique personal identifier, tax identification number, online identifier, Internet Protocol address, e-mail address, date of birth, social security number, driver’s license number, passport number, national identification number, photo, or other similar identifiers. These personal identifiers will be used to communicate with you as well as help verify your credentials and other information you provide us. |
Employment information | We need to know your background, skills, experience, accomplishments (such as prior patent awards and inventions), and other employment history to determine whether you are the candidate we should hire. |
Education information | We may collect current or educational history, transcripts, professional or technical certifications, and similar qualifications. |
Health Information | Only if permitted or required by applicable law, health information necessary to determine ability to perform the essential functions required of the position for which you are applying, with or without reasonable accommodations. Health information may be collected to comply with workplace safety regulations or occupational health requirements for certain roles. You may also voluntarily disclose health information related to requested accommodations during the application or interview process. |

Interview information | Information from any interviews and phone-screenings between you and Alteryx. |
Employment expectations | Details of the type of employment you are looking for, compensation expectations, and other terms relating to compensation and benefits packages, willingness to relocate, or other job preferences. |
Reference checks | Information about or provided by references or collected while validating your resume or CV. |
Background checks | We may, where applicable to the role for which you are applying and as permitted by law, choose to conduct a background check, which may include verification of your education, job history, references, credit history, and criminal records history. |
Immigration status | As allowed by law, information concerning immigration status, including but not limited to visa and citizenship information. |
Publicly available information searches | Where allowed by law, information collected from publicly available sources, including public records searches and online information, such as information available on social media sites or other personal websites. |
Skill assessments | For certain roles, we may collect information from an assessment of your skills. |
Demographic information | In certain locations, if allowed or required by applicable law for a legitimate business purpose, we collect information regarding gender, race, gender pronoun preferences, LGBTQIA+ status, ethnicity, nationality, citizenship or residence data, and disability and veteran status. Except with respect to location data that may prohibit our ability to employ you (such as citizenship in a country prohibited by U.S. export restrictions), these types of personal information are not used for hiring determinations and are often collected only on a voluntary basis. |

If you are offered and accept a role at Alteryx, the information collected during the recruitment process will form part of your ongoing employment record. If you are not offered a position with Alteryx, we may be required by law to retain all or part of your application and interview information for a period of time set out by statute, law, or regulation. Where permitted by applicable law, we may also hold onto the information collected during the recruitment process, including your personal information, to allow us to consider you for other suitable openings within Alteryx in the future. You may request the deletion of any information we are not required to retain under applicable law.
