How can I get into the ACE program?


  • You must be employed by an Alteryx customer or partner. As a customer/partner, you can be an employee/contractor/end-user of Alteryx for that company who is contracted with Alteryx.
  • Contribute Alteryx product ideas, write a blog, help your peers find solutions on the Alteryx community at community.alteryx.com or be an influencer on social channels.
  • Help spread the love for Alteryx by participating in offline activities which may include leading an Alteryx User Group, speaking at Alteryx sponsored events in market, speaking at Inspire, hosting a solutions review at Inspire.
  • Selection as an ACE is an annual appointment. ACEs are periodically reviewed against the criteria outlined above.
  • All ACE's will need to re-qualify annually, and will be selected 60 days before the Inspire conference.
  • All ACE's are governed by the NDA/confidentiality clauses within the Alteryx contract signed by their company.

Guidelines for Term of ACE


ACE Term is one year from time of appointment. The ACE designation can be earned each year based on the criteria outlined above. ACEs can requalify each year for this coveted role and badge within the Alteryx and analytics community.

Chris Love has an extensive background in data analysis spanning over 10 years. Prior to joining The Information Lab in January 2014 he worked at Experian Marketing Services as a Global Development Team Lead, managing three groups of data analysts using Alteryx and MS SQL Server and helping manage the groups transition from SAS. The pinnacle of his career so far came at the Alteryx Inspire Conference in 2013 where, pitted against nine other Alteryx super-users, he totaled the best time overall to become the first Grand Prix winner outside North America. He won the championship again in 2014.

"My favorite thing about Alteryx is that it makes my job fun. No one enjoys spending hours in Excel or wants to spend time writing programs when they are looking for data insight. "I want to help new users understand that, with Alteryx, you can expect to get more from your data. We're not in Microsoft Excel anymore. If you have a set of data and know what insight you want to gain from it; you will get there with Alteryx. Sometimes all it takes is creativity."

"I would like to help people learn how to use Alteryx as an ETL tool for database writing, as I feel it is a very useful ETL tool in the analytics process. Users can also benefit by knowing how to build very re-usable macros used across multiple workflows and help process efficiency. Some examples would include “Compare macros” that compare two flows and return all differences found as an example. As a ‘client' of Alteryx, I can't wait to submit product enhancements to the Idea Center based upon our user experience with Alteryx."
